Community & Charity

Cardio Express has a proud history of helping our community through charitable and not-for-profit organizations. Each year, Cardio Express sponsors over 100 local and national charity events that provide essential financial aid and services to the individuals who need it most. Know that as a member of Cardio Express, you play an important role in helping those who are less fortunate than yourself.

Cardio Express MS Bike Tour

When the President of Cardio Express was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2004, we partnered with the National Muliple Sclerosis Society to make a difference in the lives of individuals affected by the disease. When we arranged a small bike team (only 12 people) to ride in the 2006 Connecticut MS Bike Tour, we had no idea what it would develop into in the years to come. As each year’s event came and passed, the participation and money raised more than doubled. Most recently, Team Cardo Express has over 125 riders and has raised more than $500,000 to date, earning us national rankings among similar events. Since our participation, this event has raised more than $1.2 million dollars.

Jim Calhoun Cardioraiser – Workout For Autism Speaks

In 2012, Cardio Raised joined forces with UCONN Basketball Coach Jim Calhoun in the fight against autism. We were honored to host the first annual Jim Calhoun CardioRaiser – Workout For Autism Speaks in our Manchester and Southington clubs in February. Participants could choose from a variety of activities including Zumba® (brought in exclusively for this event), SPINNING®, or spend time on any of our cardio machines. More than 150 participants came together to raise more than $90,000 for the one day event.

Sponsorship Requests

Cardio Express is happy to hear about your charitable event and how we can help make it super successful. While we do our best to accommodate most requests, due to the high volume of inquiries that we receive, we are not able to commit to them all. Cardio Express generally does not provide financial contributions for events other than those specifically backed by our organization. We do provide membership gift certificates to aid in fundraising efforts for events that specifically relate to health and fitness topics and to those events that support our local educational system. All sponsorships must be authorized by corporate management. Our club management and staff are not authorized to approve any sponsorship request and we ask that you do not solicit them. Please email all sponsorship inquiries to our Member Services Department at
